emil rebek Emil Rebek was born in 1971 and grew up in Slovenia.

He discovered his talent for fashion at an early age as he won several awards in various young talent fashion design competitions.

Although a true fashion passionate at heart, after graduating in marketing sciences from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana he continued to run the marketing career, combining it with experience in the academic circles including a position of teaching assistant at the College of Entrepreneurship.

During his Master's studies in marketing communication he decided to pursue a career in fashion. He joined Modna Jana in the late 90s, first as contributor journalist and stylist. In less than a year he was brought on to assist the editor-in-chief and then serve as executive editor of the magazine for the following five years. His career has quickly risen to prominence by supervising and actively participating in the creation of one of the most popular Slovene fashion monthlies, editing several fashion pages, publishing numerous exclusive cover themes, and styling many fashion editorials.

He worked with a range of top local fashion photographers with international experience, styled a number of advertising campaigns, and assisted in the directing and styling of many important fashion shows in Ljubljana as an external associate of the Front fashion group.

As one of the most distinguished fashion journalists and stylists on the Slovene fashion scene, he decided to make a further step forward in his professional career. Since embarking on an international freelance career in 2006 his portfolio has quickly expanded. Emil Rebek has contributed as stylist and/or fashion journalist to publications such as Gloss Slovenia, Gloss Croatia, Harper's Bazaar Russia, Issue One, Booklet, Tendencias, The Room, Collezioni Accessori, Posh, Trend, Elle Croatia, Story, etc. More projects on the international markets are under way.

He is currently based in Milan.
